This follows an announcement by prime minister Scott Morrison which stated all registered and licensed clubs and other similarly purposed businesses are closed from Monday, March 23.
A six month closure is expected.
Club Taree has closed operations and have stood down staff.
According to its chief executive Morgan Stewart, the restrictions have been challenged due to the belief that golf can run as the Pro Shop as it's not attached physically to the registered club.
"We will await advice further, but sadly in the meantime this means that there is no golf operating at Club Taree until further notice," Mr Stewart said.
If by chance, permission is given to reintroduce golf, Saturday's event will be a 4BBB Mixed and Members Stableford.
Members will be advised by email of any further changes that may occur.
