Like every other organisations where people gather together we are very aware of our responsibilities to each other and the public at large.
So with this in mind we have drawn up some common sense guidelines to safeguard everyone.
Firstly we would ask any member who does not feel well to refrain from coming to the club rooms.
Then we would like members to bring along their own cup or mug to make tea or coffee in. Also your own plate and cutlery to use at lunchtimes. These can then be returned to your homes and washed thoroughly in hot water.
We are going to maintain the "social distance " between members, remembering that droplets from a sneeze or cough can travel up to 15 feet through the air.
A definite ban on all actual contact such as shaking hands etc.
A strict regime for washing hands and using disposable paper towel to dry hands afterwards.
No longer will there be a normal towel for use in the toilet area.
With all due respects we must ask any prospective visitors to delay their visit until this crisis is past. Then we look forward again to welcoming them.
On instructions from Bunnings we and all other organisations will be suspending the popular sausage sizzles until further notice.
We feel the above common sense measures should ensure that we can continue to enjoy our hobby, without putting at risk any member of the public.
