The first was the Radio Operator certificate awarded to Maria Seach. When you log on with Marine Rescue in future it may be Maria who is on the other end of the radio or phone and who will be monitoring your situation to ensure your safety at sea.
The second award was the Coxswain certificate to John Single. This recognises John's lifetime career as a master mariner. John, who is no stranger to Marine Rescue vessels, adds significantly to the depth of experience in the Crowdy Harrington unit.
Both members received their awards from unit commander Cheryl Rowe.
On a very sad note Marine Rescue Crowdy Harrington has lost a valued member. Roger Ward passed away peacefully on March 8. Roger manned both our boats and our radio room for nine years until 2019. Vale Roger.
