The trailer will be attending a number of locations across the region, allowing residents to dispose of problem waste items including gas bottles, paint, motor oils, car batteries, household batteries, fluoro globes and tubes, smoke detectors and fire extinguishers - all items that cannot be placed in any domestic bins (red, yellow or green).
Local residents are encouraged to check their garages, sheds, laundries and under sinks to collect up to 20kg or 20 litres worth of items that can be dropped off for free to the trailer.
The Mobile Recycling trailer will visit the following locations throughout 2020, however may leave a site earlier than advertised if it reaches capacity:
- Gloucester, Billabong Park - Thursday February 27, 9.30am to 11am
- Wherrol Flat, Tennis Courts - Thursday March 26, 9.30am to 11am
- Stroud, Waste Management Centre - Thursday April 23, 12pm to 1.30pm
- Pacific Palms, Recreation Club - Thursday May 28, 9.30am to 11am
