The ongoing fire risk has forced the temporary closure of Myall Lakes National Park, from Wednesday January 8, 2020 until further notice for public safety.

Public safety is a priority and the closure will be reviewed weekly however, it is likely to remaining in place until there is widespread rain.
The extremely dry conditions mean any fires which start can escalate and spread very quickly, putting visitors at risk.
Camping and day use areas, boat ramps, carparks, roads, trails, walking tracks, beaches, river and lake shorelines in Myall lakes National Park are closed. Bennett's Beach accessed from Hawks Nest remains open.
Waterways remain open however, all land within the Park is closed and landing by vessel is not permitted.
Broughton Island, Seal Rocks Holiday Cottages and Myall Shores Holiday Park remain open.
