The Rockdale Tennis Club, from the St George region of Sydney, raised $15,000 for the fund through a dinner and auction.
The club's chief executive officer Michael Lauricella and assistant manager Trish Drake delivered the donation in person in Taree to Rotary Club members Maurie Stack, Laurie Easter and Murray Difford.
The idea came from Mrs Drake, who was born and raised in the area.
"I'm from the Gillogly family of Marlee and Dingo Creek," she said.
The fund raiser was held on November 30 and attracted 100 people.
"We didn't think we'd get that many people," Mr Lauricella said.
"People dug deep into their pockets for the auction and a great night was had by all."
Suppliers and sponsors donated items, food and drinks which maximised the total funds raised.
While in Taree, Mr Lauricella and Mrs Drake met with Cheryl Webb, who lost her Bobin home in the bushfire.
Mr Lauricella was close to tears as she spoke of the devastation of the bushfires.
He saw firsthand burnt trees and severely damaged properties on arrival to Taree.
"I didn't know how bad it was until we drove up here," Mr Lauricella said.
"It's good to see the money go to a place that needs it the most."
Mr Stack was thankful for the club's contribution.
"We're touched that a group of people from Sydney have come together to provide their support," Mr Stack said.
"It's a true testament of the Australian way of life."
Meanwhile, National Australia Bank donated $10,000 to the cause.
The bank was determined to support those doing it tough, according to spokesperson Corey Beeton.
"On behalf of the bank, we are pleased to donate this money to the Mid Coast bushfire fund," Mr Beeton said.
Mr Stack was on hand to accept the donation. He said the donation will support 10 families impacted by the bushfires.
"They are very grateful,' Mr Stack said.
Donations continue to pour in from across the country. Mr Stack mentioned funds have been received from as far as Western Australia.
"We are just the coordinators, it's the enormous community support from Taree and surrounds that has made this possible," Mr Stack said.
The Twin Towns Community Services Foundation, based on the NSW and Queensland border, also commissioned a $50,000 donation for the fund.
Earlier this month, the bushfire crisis was featured in a special edition of ABC's The Drum program.
In the three hours after the broadcast ended, a further 59 donations from across Australia were made to the appeal. These donations totaled $14,300.
