The parade and presentation was held at Taree's Macquarie Barracks in Muldoon Street on Saturday, December 7.
Award recipients included: leadership award, CFSGT Molly Reid; effort and consistency, LCDT Caiden Wakefield; best drill, dress and bearing, CFSGT Molly Reid; outstanding attendance and participation, CCPL Warrun Krautkoher; move improved cadet, CCPL Hannah Smith; commanding officers award, CDT Lachlan Oliver and CDT Lani Farrell; cadet of the year, CSGT Andrew Klump; cadets' cadet, CCPL Warruen Krautloher; non-commissioned cadet of the year. 317 Squadron was originally formed in June 1951 as 17 Floight (North Sydney) NSW Squadron Air Training Corps and was later transferred to Naremburn High School in 1956 and then again to Hickson Road, The Rocks, Sydney in 1962.
In 1970, 17 Flight was established at Taree under the command of Squadron Leaders (AIRTC) Ivan Murray.
In the time the squadron has been operating it has achieved notable successes and it recognised as one of the premier youth organisations in the area.
