Wingham won the toss and chose to field first against Taree West Heat. Taree West were looking comfortable at the crease and soon had the runs flowing until a change in the bowling started to turn things Wingham's way.
Cae Allan (1 for 25) snared the breakthrough wicket and from there wickets started to quickly fall. Jacob Russell (2 for 5) was on a hat trick but couldn't snatch the elusive third wicket.
Jack Baker (2 for 2) also picked up two wickets, but the pick of the bowlers was Cooper Walker with 3 for 20 from three overs. At the end of innings Taree West were 8-131.
Wingham found it hard to build batting partnerships with wickets falling regularly.
Jackson Barry top scored with 17, while Cae Allan 11 and Oran Shepherd 10 made notable contributions as Wingham Were dismissed for 67.
Next week Wingham play Oxley Insurance Brokers Great Lakes.
