Family travelled from across the State and interstate to attend the 100th birthday of Enid Thomas.
Enid, who was born on November 25 1919, is a resident of Bushland Place nursing home.
Born in Wahroonga, she and husband Bruce, who predeceases her, had seven children, including five girls. Three of their daughters also predecease Enid, including Catherine Sheehy.
Catherine was the reason Enid found her way to Taree. Enid lived with Catherine and husband Ian Cahill before moving into the nursing home.
Enid was also a member of the Taree North Rotary Club.
About 40 relatives gathered, travelling from Temora, Lismore, Iverell, Wagga, Sydney, Canberra and in the case of Enid's eldest son John, Perth.
