The bush fire at Hillville, near Tinonee is burning out control and the NSW RFS placed it on watch and act status.

As of 8.45am on this morning (Friday, November 8), the fire at Hillville Road has burnt more than 1,018 hectares.
The RFS has reported the fire is burning on the western side of the Pacific Highway, north of Possum Brush and south of Rainbow Flat, in the Talawahl Nature Reserve, moving in an easterly direction towards the highway.
Crews are working to minimise the spread of the fire, ahead of worsening conditions predicted for later today.
Smoke may impact the Pacific Highway, Lakes Way and other local roads throughout the day, causing road closures at short notice.
Advice
If you are in the areas of Possum Brush Road and Talawahl, Hallidays Point or Corrigan, monitor conditions.
Check and follow your Bush Fire Survival Plan and prepare for a bush fire in your area. Know what you will do do if the fire threatens your property.
If your plan is to leave, or you are not prepared, leave early.

Evacuation centres have been opened in Club Taree (121 Wingham Road, Taree) and Tuncurry Bowling Club 21 Parkes Street, Tuncurry. People wishing to self evacuate are asked to register online at Register Find Reunite https://register.redcross.org.au/ before attending the evacuation centre. The Centres open at 9am today (November 8).
