Some bowlers and keen spectators donned the colours of their favourite sports teams, with Buddy leading the way with his Manly Sea Eagles polo shirt.
The event raised about $3600, with reports from the day suggesting Buddy was humbled by the turnout and grateful for donation.
Patrons capped off the day inside with the raffles.
Everyone in attendance was thrilled to learn of Buddy's progress after his hands and feet were amputated last year after he contracted two bacterial infections.
At one stage he was only given a 10 per cent chance of surviving as the sepsis in his bloodstream attacked his organs.
He has since received prosthetic legs and is learning to walk again.
