"I am very pleased to say that we recently passed over a cheque for $700 to the president of Can Assist Manning Valley, Janice Latimer," said Club Taree Embroiderers secretary, Leith Colledge.
The quilt was raffled during the Club Taree Embroiderers' triennial exhibition, held at Club Taree on September 6 and 7 this year.
The exhibition, titled From Days of Old Through to the Present, featured a 100-year-old christening gown, and a collection of embroidery by nuns, also estimated to be more than 100 years old.
