Community radio station 2BOB FM104.7 will mark Grandparents Day on Sunday, October 27 with a special broadcast presented by grandparents.

The broadcast begins at 7am with a breakfast program presented by Andy Colvin, who has two grandchildren in Melbourne, and Merryn and Jim Stow of Wingham who have eight grandchildren, seven of them being boys, Kaito (16), Ben (14), Aiden (13), Lachlan (12), Toby (6), Sena (5) and Ari (4). The only girl Nia (9).
Andy's grandchildren will be phoning into the program.
The show will have stories and anecdotes from local seniors and will feature requests from listeners. These can be phoned in to 2BOB up until the Sunday morning on 6552 6200 or emailed to office@2bobradio.org.au
At 9am Andy, Merryn and Jim will be joined by country music presenter and grandparent, Dennis Tittley from the Killabakh Country crew. Dennis has three grandchildren in Taree who will join the program. Lovers of country music can make requests for the grandparents in their lives.
Grandparents Day is a day to connect across generations and celebrate the role grandparents and older people play in society.
