One Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander candidate and one candidate from an under-represented group will be selected to spend three months working with the Screen NSW investment team, followed by three months working in the industry.
Participants will also have the opportunity to attend key industry events.
Now in its 10th year, the initiative aims to uncover talented emerging producers and pair them up with NSW production companies that can help develop their skills and creativity.
Head of Screen NSW, Grainne Brundson, believes gifted producers from under-represented groups too often go undiscovered.
"We know that the talent is out there, but practitioners from under-represented groups often struggle to access the opportunities they need to break through," she said.
"That's what we strive to change with this initiative, which delivers an incredible chance to learn from some of the best production companies in the State and develop new industry networks."
Screen NSW defines people from under-represented groups as women, Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander peoples, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, people with a disability, LGBTQI people, people from Western Sydney and people from regional NSW.

Recent participants in the program include Marlikka Perdisat, who worked with Bunya Productions on Mystery Road 2, and Niki Aken, who worked with Lingo Pictures on the Foxtel-commissioned comedy-drama Upright.
Following the completion of her internship, Aken was given the role of script producer for Upright.
Lingo Picture's Helen Bowden said the Emerging Producer Placement program had proven to be a great initiative.
"This program offers its recipients tangible benefits that can have a significant impact on their career trajectory," she said.
