TOWN'S opponent in this weekend's Manning division one women's hockey final will be determined early this week when Manning Hockey Association rules on a protest from the Tigers club.
Tigers allege a Tacking Thunder player turned in the minor semi-final despite being under suspension. Tigers claim the player was sent off in the final competition round and so was ineligible to play in the minor semi.
Manning Hockey president Debbie Monck confirmed the protest had been lodged. She said a decision would be made early this week, but would make no further comment.
Thunder defeated Tigers 3-0 in the minor semi. Sharks upset defending premiers Town 2-0 in the major semi to advance to the grand final on Saturday September 21.
The finals of the junior and senior grades will be played on Saturday.
