it was a disappointing end to the season for Taree after the side qualified for the playoffs in third position.
Wauchope will now meet minor premiers Port City in the final at Kempsey on Sunday.
This follows Forster-Tuncurry's upset 14-12 win over the Breakers in the major semi at Kempsey. This is the first loss for the Breakers in two years.
Ash Alcorn produced a match winning display for the Hawks to mastermind the upset while Forster's scrambling defence frustrated the Breakers.
The Hawks are now through to the grand final to be played at Wauchope on Sunday August 25.
