After a weekend off, the Wingham Tigers returned to the field, this time the local derby against the Taree City Bulls at Jack Neale Oval.

Although the home team were at the wrong end of the competition table, a tough game was expected.
The Bulls had a try disallowed early, before coach Mich Sullivan scored back to back tries, the first converted by Danny Russell for a 10-0 lead.
When Nick Beacham scored in the corner soon after, Wingham led 16-0 after a quarter of an hour.
Kurt Lewis made an early return from injury, and scored in the corner at the half hour mark.
Just before the break, Matt Bridge was in for another try off a Mick Sullivan break. Danny Russell added the extras for a 24-0 advantage at half time.
When Jackson Mullen barged over straight after the break, and Danny Russell converted, the lead extended to 30-0.
But the Tigers went off the boil, trying to push passes, and the ruck speed slowed down by the Bulls.
With just over ten minutes remaining, the home team scored a soft try.
Then Kurt Lewis scored his second try from dummy half. With the kick by Danny Russell, Wingham led 36-6.
Another try in the final minute to Taree City made the final score 36-10.

Reserve Grade
The Reserve Grade Tigers sealed the minor premiership with a 44-10 win over Taree City.
Captain coach Luke Steel scored early followed by Cooper Lewis, Michael Rees, and another by Cooper Lewis, with three conversions to Glenn O'Davis to lead 22-0 after 20 minutes.
The Bulls did get across the line soon after to go to the break trailing 22-6.
The second half was much like the first, with tries to Michael Rees, Fletcher Lewis, Cooper Lewis (his third) and Ryan MacIntosh, with three conversions to Glenn O'Davis.
A try in the final minute by Taree City made the score 44-10.

Under 18s
Taree City did not field an Under 18s team in 2019.
League Tag
The Tigers Ladies' League Tag team will need to win their last two games to secure a semi-final spot after going down to Taree City by 18-6.
The Bulls led 6-0 at half time.
They doubled their advantage soon after the break.
When the home team took an intercept midway through the stanza to score under the posts, the game had slipped away at 18-0.
A late try to Lily Murray following a kick was converted by Brooke Atkins.
