Charles visited the North Coast to give joy flights to people in the Lady Southern Cross. One of these fights from Wingham was for Harry, then six years of age, and his brother.
"Going onto the plane, I remember the seats in it were cane chairs as you see on verandahs," Harry recalled.
Harry said one of the highlights of the trip was looking out the window to observe large stones in the Manning River below.
"I thought this was amazing," Harry said.
