"At present Wingham library operates across one floor. There is a vacant room above but there are access issues," Chris said in his monthly Library News column.

"We're at the early stage of developing a plan for Wingham Library, which would involve installing a lift and refurbishing the second floor."

The plan is contingent on getting grant funding.

"Hopefully a project to admire in a couple of years' time," added Chris.
