Named in honour of Forster legend Fred Williams, who is considered the father of waterskiing in Australia, the two-day event will attract up to 100 competitors, including some who'll be competing as a part of the Australian team at the World Waterski Racing Championships in France later this year.
The event is being held in conjunction with the Fred Williams Boaties and Skiers Reunion that takes place in Tuncurry each July.
Fred will make an appearance at the event, with the 88-year-old living nearby at Golden Ponds Retirement Resort.
