The Great Lakes resident, who wishes to remain anonymous, also won a consolation prize of $2000.
Sharing his joy with a NSW Lotteries official this morning, the happy man revealed the win had come as a shock.
"I'm very happy," he said. "It's a great surprise. I didn't know I had won anything until my wife went to check my tickets.
"She came back and said 'I think you've won something'. I couldn't believe it.
"I've been playing Lucky Lotteries since about 2011 but I've never won anything like this.
Hopefully you are calling me again soon with the $66 million jackpot.

"I'll probably give some to my family and help my daughter pay off her mortgage," he said.
"I'm fortunate that I am comfortable and don't need anything so I'd rather see her have it and benefit from the win.
"Apart from that, I am going to take it easy.
"I think a holiday will be on the cards. I'm going to head to Fiji and lay around like a lounge lizard."
