The hall managers have learnt a lot over those months and over the weekend, and any future art shows will be bigger and better.
The managers of the hall are happy to hear from anyone who has any advice and help on how we can accomplish their aims. The next hall meeting is on Monday, May 13 commencing at 7pm at the hall.
Even though it was raining on Saturday there were visitors from all over the district attending.
Heath Watts, who performed his beautiful music throughout the weekend, introduced Leslie Williams, our State MP on Saturday morning who officially opened the show and praised the hall managers on what a great achievement for their first time art event and how good it was for the Lansdowne community.
The hall walls were filled with more than 50 entries.
Visitors walked around several times before making their decision on who to vote for and most stayed and had lunch which was purchased from the hall kitchen.
The winners were announced on Sunday afternoon and presented with their certificate and prize.
The winners which were chosen by "People's Choice" were:
- Section A, Junior seven years and under: Grace Ly with her watercolour pencil work called "Horses at the Gate".
