The Anzac Day march has been cancelled for this year. Hopefully, this will be the only year that the march is unable to be held.
The Anzac service and wreath laying ceremonies will start at about 12.15pm and finish at about 1pm.
The Manning Valley Concert Band will be assisting with the service and providing entertainment in the club afterwards. You are also invited to a free sausage sizzle in the club after the service.
Raffles and then two-up to commence at 3.30pm.
At the last sub-branch meeting, new member, Damien Gow, agreed to be appointed as secretary so the sub-branch is able to continue. What is needed however is for any veteran, young or old, to join the sub-branch to enable it to continue. Anyone who has served in the military for any period is eligible to join. Overseas service is not a requirement.

Taree parish rector, Fr Peter Tinney will officiate at this annual event in Old Bar.

Everyone is welcome. Full size medals may be worn.
Craft at Old Bar
Craft resumes on Wednesday, May 1 after the school holidays. The Combat Card workshop is a project near to our hearts. A handmade card is something special that our troops serving overseas appreciate and can send to their families and loved ones. Often overseas service involves being unable to obtain cards for special occasions.
This day we'll concentrate on Fathers' Day cards. Please bring along your craft kit, cardstock, colouring pencils or pens, embellishments plus ideas for different Fathers' Day cards. There will be a postcard type pre-stamped card provided for completion, but different ideas will be needed. Time to put those creative ideas into practise. Please remember, absolutely no glitter or shiny stickers. Looking forward to seeing you all.

Stations of the Cross under cover
Stations of the Cross was held at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Old Bar last Friday and rain prevented the event from occurring outside in the grounds of the church. As all the 14 stations are permanently erected in the church, the event was able to proceed without any difficulty.
A good crowd of people turned up, young and old, with all denominations of Old Bar joining in to mark this special time in the Christian calendar.
