Starring Miranda Tapsell (The Sapphires) and Gwilym Lee (Midsomer Murders, Bohemian Rhapsody), the film is set in Australis's lush and expansive Northern Territory. Engaged and in love Lauren and Ned have just 10 days to reunite her newly separated parents and pull off their dream Top End wedding.
But Lauren's mother has gone missing, experiencing a midlife crisis. In order to find her, the couple goes on a fantastic road trip across northern Australia.
Directed by Wayne Blair and featuring a host of well-known Aussie actors, this film delivers loads of humour, a few tears and many a good belly laugh. Add to this the glorious scenery of Australia's top end, including Kakadu, the Tiwi Islands and Arnhem Land.
The Fundraising Premiere Film Night is Thursday May 2, with refreshments from 5.30pm for a 6.30pm start, screening at Fay's Twin Cinema, Taree.
Tickets are $18 and can be booked by calling Margaret Carey 0448 561 110 or Kerry Wakely 0402 087 252.
All proceeds from the night will benefit Anglican Care Auxiliary, Manning - Storm Village and Bishop Tyrell Place, raising awareness and funding support for aged care in the Manning.
