A motor cycle rider was killed after a collision with a ute on The Lakes Way at Smiths Lake on Tuesday, March 26.

The accident occurred at approximately 12.30pm about 10 kilometres west of the Smiths Lake turnoff.
A 73-year-old man was riding his KTM motorcycle as part of an organised ride.
Police attached to Manning Great Lakes Police District were told the man attempted to negotiate a sweeping left-hand bend before he collided with a Toyota Hilux in the north bound lane.
Other riders attempted to resuscitate the man but he died at the scene.
The 45-year-old male driver of the Toyota was taken to Manning Hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.
The motorcycle was seized for mechanical testing.
Drviers experienced traffic delays while the road was cleared as both the police and Rural Fire Service personnel attended the scene.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
