Wesley Mission has been providing services in the region for 19 years but the new centre brings together under one roof Wesley Disability Employment Services, Wesley Out of Home Care and ParentsNext.
Wesley Disability Services currently helps 89 people across the Manning; Wesley Out of Home Care supports 87 children in foster care while there are 155 participants in the ParentsNext program.
Rev Dr Garner said Wesley Mission will be offering greater workforce flexibility increasing the ability to offer additional and complementary services in areas of identified needs like mental health, child and youth services, drug and alcohol services, financial literacy, employment services, health services, housing, emergency relief, disabilities and aged care.
“There will also be greater information sharing between services and greater identification of community needs or trends,” Dr Garner said.
A community open day will be held at the new centre between 10 am and 3 pm on Saturday, March 9.
