Following their incredible results at the regional championships at Glendale earlier this month, Kaeden Beckley, Gemma Eady-Muxlow and Makayla Saunders will make the trip to Sydney to take on the best aspiring athletes NSW has to offer.
Kaeden will compete in the U9B 200 metre sprint, Gemma will contest the under 12 girls 800 metre sprint and under 14 girls ‘triple threat’ Makayla will participate in shot put, long jump and high jump.
For a club that boasts just 22 registered athletes (two of whom are in the Tiny Tots program), this is an extraordinary result.
The trio earned their place at the State titles after claiming medals at the regional final.
Other club mates who participated at regionals were Tahnee-Jane Cox, Dakota Leach, Lilyana Wade, Lewis Wormleaton and Nicholas Orchard.
The club took part in the zone championships in November 2018 at Wauchope, with athletes recording great results.
The club meets at 4.30pm every Thursday afternoon from September to March at Esmond Hogan Park in Harrington.
