Roach, these days a league commentator with Fox Sports, is a former team-mate of inductee Gary Bridge from their playing days at Balmain.
Bridge, Gloucester’s Keith Tull, well travelled front rower Barrie ‘Carrots’ Morrison and former Group Three chief executive Barrie Smith were all inducted into the hall of fame.
The function was organised by Group Three with the assistance of the Mid North Coast Men of League branch. It is usually compered by former 2RE rugby league caller Marshall Loadsman, a Men of League committee member. However, Marshall is recovering from a stroke. He was represented on the night by his brothers Robert and John and sister Pam, with Robert giving a report on Marshall’s progress.
The hall of fame in inaugurated in 2013. Inductees are chosen by a judging panel selected by Group Three from nominations received from the public.
