The river wall is producing good catches of mulloway to just over a metre in length. There were five caught earlier in the week and all were returned to the water.
Big kingfish are patrolling the wall early in the morning. However, none have been caught yet.
Some big bream weighing more than a kilo have been bagged along with some some flathead. The flathead can be caught all the way up the river.
There are a lot of small fish just under-sized but most anglers can score a few of 40 to 50cm. Bait and lures are working for the flathead.
Tailor and mulloway to 12kgs have been landed from the beaches, with some good catches from Abbey’s Creek.
Outside anglers have scored snapper to 6kgs from the northern grounds. Mahi mahi are schooling around the wave rider.
