This follows a win over United in a heated clash at Chatham Park. Erstwhile leaders Port Pirates lost their first game of the season when going down to Wauchope.
United batted first at Chatham and lost 6/13 to be all out for 133. Ryan Smoothy took the figures for Wingham with 4/16.
Michael Rees smashed 35 from 16 balls in the run chase, however, Wingham lost eight wickets before getting the points.
Sam Whitbread with 5/43 was United’s best bowler. Two players have been reported for Code of Conduct breaches from the game.
Taree West made it successive wins by defeating Nulla at Kempsey, where an unbeaten 116 by Taree West captain Josh Meldrum was the highlight.
Rovers left Macquarie in the competition cellar with a win in the other match.
The final round before the Christmas/New Year break will be decided on Saturday.
