Following the general meeting there was entertainment by some of the members concluding with a Christmas luncheon which was enjoyed by all.
This year has been a very busy year for the club, participating in a variety of activities as well as having interesting guests speakers.
Some of the highlights are as follows:
Theatre parties to Seniors Concert in Taree, Evita in Sydney, Marina Prior and David Hobson in Port Macquarie and our local production of Les Miserables.
Guest speakers included our local mayor David West, Judy Hollingsworth from Manning Valley Push for Palliative Care, Mark Smith from Jacaranda Winery, and Gayle Cameron director of Taree Arts Council production of Les Miserables.
Activities enjoyed were a mystery dinner, the annual debate against Wingham High School students, a visit to Valley Industries, Christmas in July at Marlee Hall and this year’s caravan trip to Mylestrom.
Probus provides the opportunity to join a social club in your local community to meet retirees on a regular basis, listen to interesting speakers and join together in activities.
Probus meets at the Wingham Services Club Auditorium every fourth Wednesday of each month at 10am.
The next meeting will be Wednesday January 23, 2019.
