Thursday’s forecast is for a partly cloudy day, with light winds becoming southerly 15 to 20kph in the early afternoon then becoming light in the evening.

The Bureau of Meteorology says a high pressure system near New Zealand extends a ridge to the northern New South Wales coast and is directing northwest to northeasterly winds along northern and central parts of the coast this morning.
A low pressure trough has brought a southerly change to the south this morning. This change is moving north and will reach Coffs waters by late this evening, and Byron Waters Friday morning.
