BOBBY Frith will return to Saltwater/Old Bar this week in a bid to claim a three-peat of wins in the Kev Lee Memorial Single Fin surfing competition run by Saltwater Boardriders Club.

Frith now lives in Sydney. He’s won the popular single fin contest for two of the three years it has been contested.
The event will be held tomorrow morning, with surfers to meet at Old Bar at 7am to determine the best venue for competition.
Kai Stanley from Saltwater Boardriders said he expects up to 50 surfers to take part, the majority from the local area. The event has been part of the Old Bar Festival for the past two years after originally being run in June.
“Conditions are excellent at the moment with a one-and-a-half metre northern swell so we should get some great surfing,’’ he said.
Kai added the contest is open to anyone who wants to have a crack at riding a single fin board.
“It’s a great morning for a great cause,’’ Kai added.
