Taree resident, Beryl Pomlun has been recognised for a long term commitment to the community at a special ceremony.
Ninety six-year-old Beryl received the life membership award from Probus Club of Taree on Manning, after being a foundation member when the club was inaugurated in 1988.
Beryl was born in Temora in 1922, where she was married and had two sons.
The family moved to Taree in April, 1940, where Beryl enjoyed playing golf and bowls.
Beryl is also a keen knitter, and has participated in charity knitting events.
