This followed the Australian championships held on the Gold Coast this week. Croker, who is in year 11, was a member of the NSW Combined High Schools side. His team was beaten 28-14 by NSW Combined Catholic Colleges in the final, where Croker was a try scorer. His cousin. Mitchell Black, was a member of the Combined Catholic Colleges team. He attends St Clare’s High School.
A back rower, Croker played his junior football with Taree Panthers while he has been in the Newcastle system for the past two seasons, playing Harold Matthews Shield (under 16s) and SG Ball (under 18s), while he has also played under 18s with Taree City.
He represented NSW under 16s against Queensland in 2017.
Croker is the first representative from Taree High School to be selected in the Australian Schoolboys team since Adam Woolnough in 1999.
