The school had attempted to create the space for some time but whatever they tried, the grass would not grow.
When Valley Industries chief executive officer Trent Jennison heard about the issue, he offered to donate turf and a crew from Complete Grounds Care to prepare and create a safe play area.
On a cold Tuesday morning earlier this month, the crew worked hard to complete the job before students returned to school from the mid year break.
The crew consisted of Jack Shelton, Robert Schumacher, Mitch Hoppe, Paul Arnold, Matt Williams and Zac Taylor.
Teacher Jen Sedgwick said the finished product will be welcomed by support students.
"We're going to have 60 very happy students here next week,” she said as the turf was laid.
"This will double the amount of outdoor play area for students in the support unit.”
The school will soon install play equipment so the children have a safe and secure place to have fun.
“Another great example of what can be achieved when our community and school work together toward a common goal of enhancing the learning environment for students,” Ms Sedgwick said.
