The Chatham High School student will compete in the 17 years 100 metre backstroke, 50 metre backstroke, medley relay and 4 x 50 metre freestyle relay multi class events.
Having started competitive swimming in her early teens, Talea said she enjoys the social aspect of the sport.
“I love competing and meeting new people,” Talea said.
The championships will be held at Queens Domain in Tasmania from July 25 to 31.
All states and territories will have representatives at the championships.
Talea has proved to be a prolific swimmer over the years with highlights including a haul of medals at the NSW Multi Class Championships.
She was a member of the 2017 Hunter Secondary Swimming representative side and the year 11 open girls age champion at this year’s Chatham High School swimming carnival.
