Then you’ll find exactly what the doctor ordered tonight at the Manning Entertainment Centre, when the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow bursts on to the stage, with five hilarious comedians who are out to make your day.
As a bonus, the magnificent Mel Buttle has been added to the Taree line-up.
HOWLS of laughter are roaring from comedian Mel Buttle’s new show” said the Herald Sun in their review of Mel’s show at this year’s festival, and you can bet that they’ll be snippets of that show and more when she takes to the stage.
Live entertainment site, ‘The Music’, hit the nail on the head when it observed “Buttle's local references land brilliantly and her timing is on-point, something that becomes more apparent when an audience member pipes up…it's worth it to see Buttle masterfully navigate her way through some hilarious improvisation”
This year’s comedians are “captained” by the brilliant Cal Wilson who’ll be emceeing the evening.
Cal’s stand-up “is always an absolute joy to experience… effortlessly unleashes constant guffaws from her audience”. She’ll be introducing Mel Buttle, veteran funny man Bob Franklin, musical merry maker Gillian Cosgrove and the newcomer with the rave reviews: Tom Cashman. In the words of Adelaide’s The Advertiser: “★★★★ Cashman navigates the awkward and downright hilarious with the poise of a seasoned professional... He’ll make you cry with laughter.”

Next week: One for the kids
There are some very excited kinders and little school kids out there who are counting the sleeps until they join us for “The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show” on Wednesday June 27.
The show features a menagerie of 75 enchanting puppets and faithfully adapts four of Eric Carle’s beloved books for the stage: The Artist Who Painted a Blue Horse, Mister Seahorse, The Very Lonely Firefly and, of course, The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
The 10:30am show is sold out, but a limited number of tickets remain for the 1pm session. Be quick!
