Bream, luderick, flathead and jewfish have been landed. Bream are taking mullet and mullet gut as well as prawns and yabbies fished on a light sinker right down to the hook.
Green weed is used during the daylight hours and yabbies are catching fish at night.
Flathead are taking hard bodied lures fished outside the weed’s edge and near oyster racks.
A couple of jewfish to a metre in length have been caught at Chinaman’s Point by bait.
On the beach, tailor and bream have been caught. Tailor and salmon are taking pilchard baits and metal lures and have come through milky water while bream are biting on mullet strips, worms and pippies.
Outside snapper, mill perch, trag and leatherjackets have been caught. The jackets have been taken outside while some bonito have been captured on old lures early in the week.
