“We’re very happy with how it went,” said festival president Eric Richardson.
“We’re happy with the crowds that turned up and from where they came from.”
Visitors flocked from far and wide to attend the 2018 event, in particular the festival was well attended by Clan MacLennan members who travelled from a wide area to represent the clan of honour.
Saturday morning was the busiest with the street parade bringing together clans, pipe bands and even mounted police.
It was almost impossible to get a parking spot in the morning with visitors arriving to enjoy a day of Scottish themed events.
“We had more market stalls than we’ve ever had,” said Eric.
Strong winds kept kilt wearers on their toes but the weather didn’t dampen spirits.
Other events throughout the week and weekend were also hailed a success by the Bonnie Wingham Scottish Festival commitee.
