The Rotary Group Study Exchange program is a unique cultural and vocational exchange for business and professional men and women in this age group, who are in the early years of their working lives.
The program provides for a vocational study group of four non-Rotarian team members, together with a Rotarian team leader, to travel to Rotary District 1450 in Denmark for four weeks, travelling and staying in the homes of Rotarians.
The world renowned LegoLand is in this district, and will be included in the tour.
Team members are selected from across our Rotary District 9650. Children or grandchildren of Rotarians are eligible to apply.
This is an opportunity for you to exchange ideas, experience cultural differences (people, languages, diversity and institutions) that can be shared with your fellow workers/business on your return, and implement valuable learnings from your experience on exchange that will encourage individual growth and business creativity.
The team will arrive in Denmark on August 30, 2018 to commence their vocational exchange on September 1. During the exchange the team will participate in Rotary meetings and give presentations on their vocations as well as their lives in Australia.
To be eligible for selection you must:
- have been employed for at least two years in any recognised business, trade or profession (fulltime preferred);
- work and live in Rotary District 9650 and be an Australian citizen.
The selection process
The initial team members selection will be Saturday and Sunday, June 16 and 17 June in Armidale. A final selection of team members, if required, will be held on Saturday and Sunday, June 23 and 24.
The selection process for each position will consist of a written paper and all interviews will be ‘face-to-face’. Online interviews cannot be considered.
Applications close on Friday, June 1.
If you are interested in applying please contact Rotary District 9650 Assistant Governor Murray Difford to discuss further and to obtain a copy of the application form and study guide. Email: m.difford@bigpond.com or mobile: 0415 995 377.
