In the U20s FMNC backed up their impressive 1-0 win over Adamstown Rosebud the previous match when they came away with a 5-0 victory over Wallsend. The back-to-back wins will give the squad confidence going into their next match against a strong opponent in Warners Bay next Sunday.
FMNC 17s came up against a Wallsend side that has swept all before them this season with five wins from five starts, where they scored 24 goals and conceded just the one. Wallsend came away with a 3-1 victory, their closest result of the season and this is credit to the FMNC’s performance.
In the opening match of the day, FMNC returned to their winning ways after their first defeat against Adamstown. And the girls were once among the goals, coming away with a 4-3 victory.
Next Sunday the squads will travel to John Street Oval to take on Warners Bay.
