On the invitation of potter Steve Williams, a number of the artists who will be showcased in the exhibition travelled to his Dollys Flat Studio to put their stamp on the vessels.
Steve, and fellow potter Peter Hugill, had wheel thrown a number of 'blanks' which were surface treated using a range of ceramic techniques.
It is anticipated 100 will be ready to be distributed and enjoyed at the Studio Spaces opening.
They will be sold for $20 each as a fundraiser for the Friends of the Gallery, with proceeds to go towards new lighting for the Manning Regional Art Gallery.
Print maker Ali Haigh said it was completely different for her working with clay.
"I'm just making patterns," she said. "It's great."
Her marks are very similar to her lino cut patterns.
Children’s author and illustrator Stephen Michael King enjoyed carving and drawing on the pots but said what he really enjoyed was the chance for artists to talk to other artists.
Each artist left their own distinct mark on the pots.
"There's been some magic here," said Steve. "We're learning more about each other's practice in a fun way."
Studio Spaces of the Mid North Coast opens at the Manning Regional Art Gallery at 6pm this Saturday, April 7. Also opening is ‘The Amber Rooms’.
Tickets for the opening are $10 (adults) and $7 for Friends of the Gallery. General exhibition entry is free.
