There's no need to stick to the routine these school holidays - MidCoast Libraries have a burst of colourful, free and low cost activities to brighten your day.

"Create your own colourful puppet, paint beautiful and bright parrots, learn to draw superheroes or construct a colourful kite - these are just some of the amazing activities on offer at our libraries over the April school holidays," said MidCoast Library events officer Danielle Donnelly.
Make kites at Hallidays Point Library on Tuesday April 17 or join the puppet making and performing workshop at Forster Library on Wednesday April 18.
Comic book illustrator and Comic Con regular Matt Lin will lead the Superheroes Workshop at Taree Library on Tuesday April 24 and local natural history artist Stephanie Holmes will assist you in painting your own parrot at Forster Library on Monday April 23.
There's a cost of $8 per child for these workshops.
Nabiac Library is offering school holiday activities for the first time, kicking off with Science on the Move on Thursday April 19 (also available at Harrington Library on Monday 23 April 23). Beeswax Wraps workshops are in Forster on Friday April 20, Taree on Monday April 16 and Hallidays Point Library on Friday April 27.
Learn and enjoy some craft to help remember Anzac Day on Wednesday April 18 with a wreath making workshop hosted by Bunnings at Harrington Library, or at Tea Gardens Library make red poppies, write letters to an ANZAC and create care packages with lots of yummy treats.
"There's loads more activities at all our libraries - from Kids Boot Camp to movie screenings, to puzzles, games and colouring-in days, craft activities and virtual reality experiences," said Danielle.
