‘Gentle’ weaves the secrets of the main characters with the fight to save a river that flows through a fertile valley on the east coast of Australia.
The story of finding healing in the natural world and in our own essential nature brings to the forefront the importance of protecting the environment on which we rely.
Cate grew up on the east coast of New South Wales and studied creative writing at Macquarie University in Sydney.
She enjoys the natural beauty of the river valleys and coastline of this beautiful area and hopes her voice contributes to the careful management of the environment.
Cate’s talk will start at 2pm, and will be followed by a special afternoon tea provided by Friends of Great Lakes Library Service.
There is no charge to attend the event but bookings are essential.
