Whiting are being caught from the end of the sand spit in the mouth pf the river in yabbies.
Fish are of good size and are really fat at the moment.
Nice bream to 800 grams are also being taken from the same spot.
The river wall is fishing well for bream on yabbies mullet strips and mullet gut.
Some of the fish are over the magic one kilogram mark.
The time either side of slack water is best to fish and night fishing gets the best result.
Tailor are still to be caught on Crowdy beach but the kelp makes it difficult to fish.
Some whiting and bream have been caught from the southern end of the beach on beach worms.
Snapper are still on the bite from the northern grounds.
