Just Cuts Taree is hosting a Shave for a Cure event on Saturday, March 17.

From noon to 2pm there will be head shaves, coloured hair spray and face painting activities in the centre court just outside Just Cuts.

All activities will raise funds for the Leukaemia Foundation.

The Leukaemia Foundation is the only national charity dedicated to helping those with leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma and related blood disorders survive and then live a better quality of life.

Leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma are all types of blood cancer and they can develop in anyone, of any age, at any time.

Another 35 Australians are diagnosed each and every day. Although improved treatments and care are helping more people survive, sadly someone loses their life to blood cancer every two hours.

In fact, blood cancer is the third most common cause of cancer death in Australia, claiming more lives than breast cancer or melanoma.

Just Cuts’ Shave for a Cure in on Saturday, March 17 and is located in Taree Central shopping centre.
