Priscilla, who lives in Port Macquarie, was born into a racing family, but injuries forced her to retire from riding. She remains heavily involved in the sport as a presenter and is a regular at race meeting in the Mid North Coast and beyond with her duties with Sky.
She spoke of her life as a jockey, her injuries and how Michelle Payne’s Melbourne Cup win in 2015 paved the way for women in this sport.
Harrington Evening VIEW’s president Cathy Callen-Zarb welcomed more than 100 guests to the International Women’s Day brunch at Harrigans conference centre.
The theme of the day was “Press for Progress” and the brunch celebrated 107 years of women’s achievements.
