There might be only 800 locals, but they’re a talented bunch when it comes to creating quality produce.
Founder and Flinders Island local Jo Youl wanted to celebrate what she calls a paddock-sea-and-garden-to-plate philosophy.
The store is in Whitemark, and visitors will find coffee, lunch and dinner, fresh produce, wine and honey, as well as local surprises.
Guests can even fly in for the day, ferried via helicopter or light plane from Bridport or Launceston, taking in the stunning view before landing at the Killiecrankie airstrip to explore.
El Questro, in the stunning Kimberleys, has announced its 2018 season-opening offer, inviting guests visiting for two nights or more to stay an extra night for free.
The bonus night will mean more time for guests to take in the stunning natural beauty of the property and more time for activities, whether it be a hike to the viewing platform on Saddleback Ridge or a morning in the Zebedee thermal springs.
Visitors may choose to base their stay at either the safari-style tented cabins of Emma Gorge, home to one of Australia’s best swimming holes, or the air-conditioned bungalows of El Questro Station, both of which give them access to 700,000 acres of untamed beauty in the heart of the Kimberley.
The offer also includes complimentary breakfast for two.
Those looking for all-encompassing luxury can take advantage of the offer at the private and exclusive Homestead, and receive a 15 per cent discount on accommodation and a complimentary helicopter tour for two to the secluded Miri Miri Falls.
To take advantage of the special offer, bookings must be made before April 30.
Season dates for 2018 are March 29 to October 20 for Station/Homestead; May 1 to September 28 for Emma Gorge.
