Fire Brigade training day
Another big fire brigade training day will be held on Sunday February 4 with members of the Coopernook, Lansdowne, Taree and Johns River brigades attending
Coopernook’s four new recruits and Lansdowne’s two new recruits will undergo basic fire training which will include portable pumping, relay pumping, water in and out of the trucks as quickly as possible, and also learning the various uses of the fire equipment.
Coopernook’s Sherrie Gaul will also be doing her Crew Leaders training. This will entail her being able to lead a crew safely, and she will also learn how to manage incidents.
Our community is so lucky to have such members who are so willing to give up of their time and to jump into any situation that arises from fighting fires and or attending accidents.
The brigades are always happy to hear from anyone interested in joining. You will be fully trained. If you are not keen on being on the front fire fighting line you can help with administrative tasks or the upkeep of the equipment or even fundraising.
